Shirt Under a dress for a professional Look

B2619A2E-9B98-4B30-B1B7-CCC0D8A2BF13I remember back in the day when my mom would make me wear a baby T under my denim pinafore dress before leaving the house, this is a trend that was so big in the 90’s and am sure she wanted her fashionable self to reflect on me. “Well done Mommy, Who knew Cate was so ahead of her time”?  Shirt under a dress for a professional look is a fun way of bringing life to your work outfit. Don’t ever get bored wearing your dresses the same way all the time when you can just switch and layer them with your favorite blouses or shirts to give them a poppy and edgy feel.

Did you ever try out this look when you were younger? Would you dare to try it again? Let me know in the comment box.8EFCCCDB-0252-4664-A9B9-DEE07ECA1CE77CDF404D-EF3A-4E79-AB21-3AB7DAFE7A52

Effortlessly Stylish

SXGE9760Have you guys been keeping warm? Its been wet and cold for a couple of days now, and this season by far is my best because i get to use my favorite pieces in the closet. However, how do you look effortlessly stylish during this weather? In a world where fashion options are endless, it can be easy to get overwhelmed when deciding what to wear. My closet is a mixture of patterns, colors, textures, and trends—which can be pretty daunting everyday when am looking for what to wear. The little secret here is to wear not more than 3 colors. Not only does this tip help make you look effortlessly chic, it also helps narrow down your options when you’re picking out outfits in a rush. White doesn’t have to necessarily count as one of your colors. And if you choose to wear clothes that are patterned, pairing them with pieces that have same hues will give an effortlessly stylish feel.

How do you keep effortlessly stylish? Let me know in the comment box.Processed with VSCO with p5 presetProcessed with VSCO with p5 presetCSXI5677Processed with VSCO with p5 presetGSSJ5181

Love Cate!!

Have it your way

Processed with VSCO with p5 presetFebruary is a short month, but it’s got Valentine’s Day, the sexiest day of the year. Can you believe we’re already just a stone’s throw away from our next holiday?(how i wish it was).  Valentine’s Day is a week away and there’s likely to be a last minute dash for gifts and restaurant bookings (not in for the struggle), I myself try not to get sucked into the commercialism of store-bought Valentines and overpriced set menus. There really is no reason why you can’t celebrate with your loved one in an intimate dinner at home – it does fall on a Wednesday after all! Guess am saying this because am not celebrating it.

Anyhow, apply this same simple attitude to your ideal Valentine’s Day look. Instead of going for an overly themed ensemble, show a hint of St Valentine appreciation with items you already own. Red not your color?  Try you’re favorite shade of pink instead or let alone, a decolletage dressier dress like this, It could be one of those dresses that you always wear to dinner,as long as he hasn’t seen it, the effort counts. It will give you that same romantic glow that Valentine’s Day is all about! If you’re celebrating at home be sure to be creative and keep away from doing the same stuff you did last Valentine. Wearing For Sweater Weather

Processed with VSCO with p5 presetToday isn’t one of those days where i get to runt all post,am here to share with you how i wear for the sweater weather(trying to make the chilly weather sound fancy), I’ve enjoyed a couple of cold-weather teasers the past days. Although the change of weather affects me, i love that i get to keep my sweater or jacket on all day long,oh Gosh! If you know me, you know how much my love for layering pieces is, and also, not being a fun of  color blocking so you wouldn’t find me having more than 3 bright colors (don’t get me wrong if its your style), that should explain why most of my outfits are monochrome. Putting this outfit together was so easy thanks to Catchy classy that had me sorted out with these super soft and comfortable trousers, belt and bag, the free-size cozy rugged sweater has always been in archives for as long as a year, i added the belt to emphasize my waist and make my look edgy. My go to style for the chilly weather is blazers and sweaters. Won and Trusted Bottoms

Processed with VSCO with p5 presetI figured something a lot of times these past months. There lots of things we absorb unknowingly on the internet that influence our thoughts, words and actions. In fact, there’s a criteria to live our lives that the the world has taught us that we have accepted unconsciously as the the only way to live. What if we realize we have been living life the opposite way, like what we think we were doing right is actually the opposite, the foods we were avoiding are actually the ones we are supposed to eat? Have you ever thought of that? Share with me your opinions in the comment box.

Fashion is a world of cornucopia( thought i should use that word) when it comes to new trends. Every season is filled with an abundance of so called “must have pieces that every girl should get“. Sometimes that overdose of advice can drive us either into a shopping frenzy resulting in bad buys or simply gives way to fashion sobriety. In exactly those moments of sartorial insecurity, it’s good to know you have a hero you can rely on: the won and trusted white Bottoms (Pants). The good news is you don’t need to be a certain type of fashionista to rock white pants, there are million of ways to style them.  Though if you asked me about my absolute favorite way to work it into my style, I’d go for edging out femininely chic looks like this one. Let me know how you like to style your white pants and what you think of mine?Processed with VSCO with p5 presetProcessed with VSCO with p5 presetProcessed with VSCO with p5 presetBTPE1673Processed with VSCO with p5 preset
