Arushaa!!!!! What an experience. I wish I can describe this trip as good or bad but that’ll simply be impossible. I was there for a day but it was worthwhile. First off, you can’t dose off on the plane because of the beautiful scenery of the hills and their tallest mountains, Mt Kilimanjaro (Highest Mountain in Africa) and Mt Meru ( 5th highest in Africa). Secondly, there these Umbrella-shaped canopy trees that flower during the month of December, the locals call them Christmas trees that are planted at kilimanjaro International Airport and along the way that give you a warm welcome or wish you a safe flight to wherever your going.
For my one night, i stayed at the Beautiful Mount Meru Hotel, Arusha’s famous hotel also known as the “The Gem of Arusha”. The hotel blends stylishly elegant African architecture with supremely luxurious rooms and sparkling water gardens with beautifully landscaped gardens. I usually don’t fancy staying in a foreign country for long because its costly, i easily get bored and always want to get a reason to go back. But for this case, i was there to link up with a friend i hadn’t seen in a while, this was our only chance or at least meet after 6 months, and we weren’t gonna let that happen cos this time, we were closer to each other, also it was the festive season and i had to spend it with my family as it is a tradition. My very short stay at the hotel was incredibly nice because i got to use all the services something i never get to do because am always on the rush to step out and do other adventurous activities in the area. I really like Mt Meru hotel for its atmosphere. Nothing beats space/layout. You can choose to sit outside or inside and get two completely different atmosphere. My room at the hotel had a very beautiful view of Mt Meru. The service of the hotel is great and the people are warm. I would definitely go back to the hotel and spend more time, but with a photographer to capture my moments. The photos aren’t enough to show how beautiful the hotel is, with mind blowing views., Ever been to mt meru hotel, what do you think about it? Please share your views in the comment box below.
