February is a short month, but it’s got Valentine’s Day, the sexiest day of the year. Can you believe we’re already just a stone’s throw away from our next holiday?(how i wish it was). Valentine’s Day is a week away and there’s likely to be a last minute dash for gifts and restaurant bookings (not in for the struggle), I myself try not to get sucked into the commercialism of store-bought Valentines and overpriced set menus. There really is no reason why you can’t celebrate with your loved one in an intimate dinner at home – it does fall on a Wednesday after all! Guess am saying this because am not celebrating it.
I figured something a lot of times these past months. There lots of things we absorb unknowingly on the internet that influence our thoughts, words and actions. In fact, there’s a criteria to live our lives that the the world has taught us that we have accepted unconsciously as the the only way to live. What if we realize we have been living life the opposite way, like what we think we were doing right is actually the opposite, the foods we were avoiding are actually the ones we are supposed to eat? Have you ever thought of that? Share with me your opinions in the comment box.
Fashion is a world of cornucopia( thought i should use that word) when it comes to new trends. Every season is filled with an abundance of so called “must have pieces that every girl should get“. Sometimes that overdose of advice can drive us either into a shopping frenzy resulting in bad buys or simply gives way to fashion sobriety. In exactly those moments of sartorial insecurity, it’s good to know you have a hero you can rely on: the won and trusted white Bottoms (Pants). The good news is you don’t need to be a certain type of fashionista to rock white pants, there are million of ways to style them. Though if you asked me about my absolute favorite way to work it into my style, I’d go for edging out femininely chic looks like this one. Let me know how you like to style your white pants and what you think of mine?

One of my favorite things to do is “social media stalking” (don’t know whether that qualifies as a hobby), so as i was stalking, I came a cross a life changing status on a friend’s whatsapp story on a “dying woman’s heartbreaking letter to the world“, (get it first class here Holly Butcher). She wrote it a day before she passed on. One of the things she mentioned in her letter was,”There will come a time and all the quotes, messages videos you see on social media that you read and ignore will make sense”,This to me was like a reflecting moment in my life. There so many times when I come across such stuff and not mind them, did it have to be from a dying woman for me to learn? There’s much to learn from her letter, It taught me never to take life for granted, Appreciate and respect everyone in my life, Utilize my time to do the things I love and most importantly, make time for God! My greatest mistake in 2017 was taking time off to figure out my blogging career. For something that I passionately adore, I must say, I honestly dozed off. Truth be told, even as i was off and thought I would research more and come back with better content, I got distracted and almost disappeared. It came to strike me later that instead of quitting for 12 months, I should’ve held on, continued with my work while doing research on how to better myself. Perhaps it was a breather for me to realize how important this is (consolation). We know, a creative mind shouldn’t be left redundant for it gets rusted and also, once time is lost, its never regained.
Now, Today is here, with me having learnt my lesson in Green, and gold Block heels filled with comfort and the confidence I have with my style like i never left (insert a wink emoji), Wearing extravagant Stripped Palazzo pants with almost ground flowing waist strings, an off shoulder top, Green double-breasted Blazer and corduroy patent leather shoulder/handbag ready for what ever comes my way.

Happy New Year!!!
So we ‘borrow’ men’s clothes. (eye roll) So we like to wear their tees and shirts. (eye roll) SO WHAT? At this point I’m practically ready to raid all my friends’ closets. A shirt per male specimen should be the general rule in any group of friends. Rebecca Do you second me on this?We should all shake on it and get on with our fashion lives. The good thing ladies is we don’t need no man for this trend, unless of course we want to do the trend per se, spend nothing on achieving the look, and nail it 100%. Hence the two ways in which Boyfriend shirts trend can be done: we either buy menswear inspired shirts in a few sizes up, OR we simply borrow from the beautiful boys in our lives. God knows shirts are their uniforms, might as well capitalise on those,Just saying…..
But for this case, didn’t grab mine from anyone,I purchased it and what really drew me to it was the grey color since am trying to change my closet to pastel colors and earth tones. I didn’t want to add other colors so I paired my grey boyfriend shirt with light grey jeans and brown loafer shoes.
Have you ever hi-jacked ur boyfriends’ clothes? Share with me in the comments box.

One of the things that I love to do when styling my looks is layer two elements that are inherently opposite yet can still work together. After all, fashion is supposed to be fun and every now and then you have to try some new combinations.
So with this outfit, I layered a long open black dress that I purchased but was a size smaller and wasn’t fitting right, but as mama taught me,”never to let anything go to waste”,I thought using it as a throw-on would be a good idea,as you see,the dark blue jeans and the dress work well together even though they are opposites. Also, the front zipper bodysuit that exudes lusciousness is a great staple that can be worn by itself or as a layering piece.

A staple look for me in these warm months has been an off shoulder top as I mentioned in my Previous post,it’s simple, light and stylish at the same time. I have a tendency of purchasing eccentric pieces especially dresses and skirts and am only able to wear them a few times,or on occasions. since they seem to catch everyones eyes or make them go..(oh my gosh!!! But you look good in that, why don’t u wear such often?)these are the pieces that I feel make my wardrobe unique!
It’s so hard for me to make a choice on skirts mainly if they aren’t pencil and body hugging, but for this,I’ve eyed for a long time and wished it could join the other pieces that am going to exploit thoroughly 😂,I love me a good skirt and preferably a skirt that I can breath in. Imagine my excitement when I got this sky blue “front button midi skirt,Not only is it beautiful but also has pockets! What more could you ask for?! It was fun pairing my outfit today!

Your feed back is very essential to me,comment and tell me what you think!
how in the world are you? I’ve seriously missed blogging so much! I couldn’t be more excited to be back, specially in an off shoulder ASOS top that I think everyone should atleast own or perhaps have a similar one.
It’s so cozy and comfortable yet I still felt beautiful and put together. If you’re plus size or know anyone that is,you definitely know how hard it is to find such tops in our size range 😏. Your going to see me wearing more of “off shoulder clothes” coz they are my favorite this season. I paired the top with high-waisted H&M ankle grazer sky blue jeans which defined my shape making me look chic. All those days I was away, flat sandles became my favorite, don’t say I didn’t tell you when they get common on the blog.
The best part of sharing my journey is connecting with you guys. I love hearing your creative input, comments, and suggestions so please keep them coming my way (: Honestly they help keep me grounded and feeling extremely motivated. To know that we’ve not only found each other, connected, but are also growing together is seriously amazing and I feel beyond grateful.
