One of my favorite things to do is “social media stalking” (don’t know whether that qualifies as a hobby), so as i was stalking, I came a cross a life changing status on a friend’s whatsapp story on a “dying woman’s heartbreaking letter to the world“, (get it first class here Holly Butcher). She wrote it a day before she passed on. One of the things she mentioned in her letter was,”There will come a time and all the quotes, messages videos you see on social media that you read and ignore will make sense”,This to me was like a reflecting moment in my life. There so many times when I come across such stuff and not mind them, did it have to be from a dying woman for me to learn? There’s much to learn from her letter, It taught me never to take life for granted, Appreciate and respect everyone in my life, Utilize my time to do the things I love and most importantly, make time for God! My greatest mistake in 2017 was taking time off to figure out my blogging career. For something that I passionately adore, I must say, I honestly dozed off. Truth be told, even as i was off and thought I would research more and come back with better content, I got distracted and almost disappeared. It came to strike me later that instead of quitting for 12 months, I should’ve held on, continued with my work while doing research on how to better myself. Perhaps it was a breather for me to realize how important this is (consolation). We know, a creative mind shouldn’t be left redundant for it gets rusted and also, once time is lost, its never regained.
Now, Today is here, with me having learnt my lesson in Green, and gold Block heels filled with comfort and the confidence I have with my style like i never left (insert a wink emoji), Wearing extravagant Stripped Palazzo pants with almost ground flowing waist strings, an off shoulder top, Green double-breasted Blazer and corduroy patent leather shoulder/handbag ready for what ever comes my way.
Arushaa!!!!! What an experience. I wish I can describe this trip as good or bad but that’ll simply be impossible. I was there for a day but it was worthwhile. First off, you can’t dose off on the plane because of the beautiful scenery of the hills and their tallest mountains, Mt Kilimanjaro (Highest Mountain in Africa) and Mt Meru ( 5th highest in Africa). Secondly, there these Umbrella-shaped canopy trees that flower during the month of December, the locals call them Christmas trees that are planted at kilimanjaro International Airport and along the way that give you a warm welcome or wish you a safe flight to wherever your going.
Insane view from the plane
For my one night, i stayed at the Beautiful Mount Meru Hotel, Arusha’s famous hotel also known as the “The Gem of Arusha”. The hotel blends stylishly elegant African architecture with supremely luxurious rooms and sparkling water gardens with beautifully landscaped gardens. I usually don’t fancy staying in a foreign country for long because its costly, i easily get bored and always want to get a reason to go back. But for this case, i was there to link up with a friend i hadn’t seen in a while, this was our only chance or at least meet after 6 months, and we weren’t gonna let that happen cos this time, we were closer to each other, also it was the festive season and i had to spend it with my family as it is a tradition. My very short stay at the hotel was incredibly nice because i got to use all the services something i never get to do because am always on the rush to step out and do other adventurous activities in the area. I really like Mt Meru hotel for its atmosphere. Nothing beats space/layout. You can choose to sit outside or inside and get two completely different atmosphere. My room at the hotel had a very beautiful view of Mt Meru. The service of the hotel is great and the people are warm. I would definitely go back to the hotel and spend more time, but with a photographer to capture my moments. The photos aren’t enough to show how beautiful the hotel is, with mind blowing views., Ever been to mt meru hotel, what do you think about it? Please share your views in the comment box below.

Allow me congratulate my country Uganda for qualifying for the Afcon after 38yrs,of which am sure majority of you weren’t yet born. We hoped and prayed, they never gave up and worked harder. They made us proud, they made us shine,as the Pearl we are,of Africa. Go UGANDA CRANES!!
Now…there’s nothing quite like the glam of “layering an outfit” especially when updated with a trendy modern style. Layering is one of those trends that never fades. One of the reasons why we want to layer clothes is to show off the contrast between different colours and cuts, so there is no need to be dull and boring and wear a single colour for all your layers. Be bold, layer a white blouse with a beige midi sleeveless coat like I did or Also mix and match patterns with solids. The whole idea here is to make each of your layers clearly visible for a complete fashion statement, and you will make heads turn while you walk down the street!…Something i live for😆
Layering is worth doing well
