Easily Recognizable In Red. Chic and Bold Look for a weekend

I’ve been dressing mono-chromatically all my life even before knowing the meaning of the word. This is a style I have held onto for a long time, that now it’s safe to say it’s here to stay.

I also tend to think am not a bold dresser color wise but my wardrobe disagrees (shy face). Red has always been my go to bold color, I also got some inspo  from (toofierce1), this girl’s Instagram gives me life.

Since this coat is already major, I needed the rest of my outfit to be subtle. I wore my white T.shirt to keep the focus on the red.  I wore a pair of sock boots, which are my favorite pair right now, these ladies do not go unnoticed everywhere I go.  Not forgetting to mention that I have been seeing a lot of red shoes with models which for some reason makes me feel like I’m doing something right.

To keep the red theme going I wore a red suede chain cross body bag and summed up my look with clear hexagon sunglasses. This is a chic and bold look for a weekend.

Effortlessly Stylish

SXGE9760Have you guys been keeping warm? Its been wet and cold for a couple of days now, and this season by far is my best because i get to use my favorite pieces in the closet. However, how do you look effortlessly stylish during this weather? In a world where fashion options are endless, it can be easy to get overwhelmed when deciding what to wear. My closet is a mixture of patterns, colors, textures, and trends—which can be pretty daunting everyday when am looking for what to wear. The little secret here is to wear not more than 3 colors. Not only does this tip help make you look effortlessly chic, it also helps narrow down your options when you’re picking out outfits in a rush. White doesn’t have to necessarily count as one of your colors. And if you choose to wear clothes that are patterned, pairing them with pieces that have same hues will give an effortlessly stylish feel.

How do you keep effortlessly stylish? Let me know in the comment box.Processed with VSCO with p5 presetProcessed with VSCO with p5 presetCSXI5677Processed with VSCO with p5 presetGSSJ5181

Have it your way

Processed with VSCO with p5 presetFebruary is a short month, but it’s got Valentine’s Day, the sexiest day of the year. Can you believe we’re already just a stone’s throw away from our next holiday?(how i wish it was).  Valentine’s Day is a week away and there’s likely to be a last minute dash for gifts and restaurant bookings (not in for the struggle), I myself try not to get sucked into the commercialism of store-bought Valentines and overpriced set menus. There really is no reason why you can’t celebrate with your loved one in an intimate dinner at home – it does fall on a Wednesday after all! Guess am saying this because am not celebrating it.

Anyhow, apply this same simple attitude to your ideal Valentine’s Day look. Instead of going for an overly themed ensemble, show a hint of St Valentine appreciation with items you already own. Red not your color?  Try you’re favorite shade of pink instead or let alone, a decolletage dressier dress like this, It could be one of those dresses that you always wear to dinner,as long as he hasn’t seen it, the effort counts. It will give you that same romantic glow that Valentine’s Day is all about! If you’re celebrating at home be sure to be creative and keep away from doing the same stuff you did last Valentine. Wearing For Sweater Weather

Processed with VSCO with p5 presetToday isn’t one of those days where i get to runt all post,am here to share with you how i wear for the sweater weather(trying to make the chilly weather sound fancy), I’ve enjoyed a couple of cold-weather teasers the past days. Although the change of weather affects me, i love that i get to keep my sweater or jacket on all day long,oh Gosh! If you know me, you know how much my love for layering pieces is, and also, not being a fun of  color blocking so you wouldn’t find me having more than 3 bright colors (don’t get me wrong if its your style), that should explain why most of my outfits are monochrome. Putting this outfit together was so easy thanks to Catchy classy that had me sorted out with these super soft and comfortable trousers, belt and bag, the free-size cozy rugged sweater has always been in archives for as long as a year, i added the belt to emphasize my waist and make my look edgy. My go to style for the chilly weather is blazers and sweaters. Green and Bold

bdcf4403-2d33-4986-80e5-30e8712bfebc-1One of my favorite things to do is “social media stalking” (don’t know whether that qualifies as a hobby), so as i was stalking, I came a cross a life changing status on a friend’s whatsapp story on a “dying woman’s heartbreaking letter to the world“, (get it first class here Holly Butcher). She wrote it a day before she passed on. One of the things she mentioned in her letter was,”There will come a time and all the quotes, messages videos you see on social media that you read and ignore will make sense”,This to me was like a reflecting moment in my life. There so many times when I come across such stuff and not mind them, did it have to be from a dying woman for me to learn? There’s much to learn from her letter, It taught me never to take life for granted, Appreciate and respect everyone in my life, Utilize my time to do the things I love and most importantly, make time for God! My greatest mistake in 2017 was taking time off to figure out my blogging career. For something that I passionately adore, I must say, I honestly dozed off. Truth be told, even as i was off and thought I would research more and come back with better content, I got distracted and almost disappeared. It came to strike me later that instead of quitting for 12 months, I should’ve held on, continued with my work while doing research on how to better myself. Perhaps it was a breather for me to realize how important this is (consolation). We know, a creative mind shouldn’t be left redundant for it gets rusted and also, once time is lost, its never regained.

Now, Today is here, with me having learnt my lesson in Green, and gold Block heels filled with comfort  and the confidence I have with my style like i never left (insert a wink emoji), Wearing extravagant Stripped Palazzo pants with almost ground flowing waist strings, an off shoulder top, Green double-breasted Blazer and corduroy patent leather shoulder/handbag ready for what ever comes my way.24fd6311-9bc3-483a-a9c0-9c78c5d505c3-132f3bf7f-5419-42f3-ae9a-4b89fc64cfea-126ee26d5-9db4-46ba-82d2-472cfc317474-18b8777b3-5862-4d97-9608-570e5eb910b2

Happy New Year!!!

New Beginnings

Happy New Year!! We made it to see 2017. What a blessing! Although its cliché to say things like “new year, new me”, I always find a sense of renewal and inspiration whenever a new year rolls around. It’s just something about feeling like you’re starting fresh and with a clean slate that really motivates me to become better. After all, life is all about evolution and we should constantly be becoming better versions of ourselves anyway.

So let’s celebrate new beginnings! Whatever plans you have set for 2017, my hope and prayer is that you seek them and see those plans come to fruition. I encourage anyone that is thinking about starting something new to just go for it. Let’s make 2017 the year of action so that we can start to see the fruits of our labor. And of course, let’s make 2017 the most fashionable year yet!

                  Lovelies,

A staple look for me in these warm months has been an off shoulder top as I mentioned in my Previous post,it’s simple, light and stylish at the same time.  I have a tendency of purchasing eccentric pieces especially dresses and skirts and am only able to wear them a few times,or on occasions. since they seem to catch everyones eyes or make them go..(oh my gosh!!! But you look good in that, why don’t u wear such often?)these are the pieces that I feel make my wardrobe unique!

It’s so hard for me to make a choice on skirts mainly if they aren’t pencil and body hugging, but for this,I’ve eyed for a long time and wished it could join the other pieces that am going to exploit thoroughly 😂,I love me a good skirt and preferably a skirt that I can breath in. Imagine my excitement when I got this sky blue “front button midi skirt,Not only is it beautiful but also has pockets! What more could you ask for?! It was fun pairing my outfit today!

         Simple and timeless is key!
